Bandhavgarh Meadows – Your home in the jungle" is a resort spread in several acres of land in Bijariya Village, Tala, in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Surrounded by Sal forest hills on all sides, the lodge has a setting which makes you feel that you are camping out in the jungle itself with full security and comfort with interiors which are reflective of an impeccable taste. Bandhavgarh Meadows is just about 600 meters away from the Bandhavgarh National Park boundary, and is run by a family of wildlife photographers and nature lovers with varied experience in various fields and a passion of wild life. The resort offers luxurious accommodation in elegant Air Conditioned villas and cottages with rooms equipped with all modern amenities providing all what is needed to create a mesmerising jungle theme. The vicinity to the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve and the drawing and layout of the resort, allows the guests to experience the jungle feeling while relaxing at the verandas of their rooms. Bandhavgarh Meadows is home to various species of birds whose chirping in the morning makes the place a beautiful place to start your day. Wild animals including jackals and golden fox are seen close to the resort fences and the majestic Tigers have also been frequently seen moving very close to the resort.
Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is famous for its Jungle Safari in open jeep/gypsy and elephant. The park permits entry only after sunrise and exit before sunset and so the timings tend to change with the season. In winters, the morning safari is conducted from around 6.15 am to 10.15 am and the evening safari is from around 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. During summers, the morning safari is conducted from around 5.15 am to 9.15 am and the evening safari is from around 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. During the jungle safari in the forest, every jeep/gypsy is accompanied by a trained naturalist / guide who helps the guest interpret the jungle. Elephant safari is organized by the forest department and is subject to availability depending upon the Tiger sightings.
